Luumi is a distinctive design project that celebrates the profound connection between humanity and nature through the thoughtful use of forms, colors, and raw materials. By seamlessly blending design principles with masterful craftsmanship, this initiative creates a unique dialogue between artisanal heritage and contemporary aesthetics.
His conceptual foundation stems from the influence of flat, polychrome weaving traditions. However, rather
than remaining confined to two-dimensional space,
Luumi transforms this classical technique into
a three-dimensional experience through the innovative
use of a loom.
This evolution represents a significant departure from conventional weaving practices. By lifting the loom from its traditional horizontal plane, the project introduces spatial depth and sculptural qualities to the woven form.
